It’s a relaxed, guided session where you’ll create a mix of high-quality content for your business — professional brand photos from Dawn Webb, lifestyle photos you can take around the venue on your own phone, and simple b-roll videos that are perfect for reels and stories. You’ll move through each part with support from Julia and Sarah, with Dawn capturing your polished brand shots.

Our photographer is Dawn Webb, a brilliant brand photographer known for relaxed, natural images that look like the real you. She’s calm, friendly, and fantastic with people who usually freeze in front of a camera. Dawn will take your professional brand photos and a selection of natural shots throughout the morning. You’ll choose your favourite three edited images afterwards.

We start at 9:30am and finish around 1pm. The first 15–20 minutes are for settling in, chatting and getting comfortable before we begin.

Women running small businesses in Essex. Whether it’s your first time or your second round with us, you’ll fit right in. No confidence or on-camera experience needed.

Three main types:

1. Professional brand shots – You'll ahve a 10 minute mini-lifestyle shoot with Dawn, with three edited images included.

2. Natural lifestyle photos – taken by you and your partner on your phone using the venue’s beautiful spaces.

3. B-roll – short clips filmed on your phone of you working naturally (typing, writing, holding products, chatting, packaging orders, etc).

B-roll is simple background video footage of you “in action.” It’s perfect for reels with text overlays, storytelling content, or behind-the-scenes posts. You’ll film this on your own phone with our guidance so you can recreate it easily at home.

Choose outfits that feel like you and reflect your brand. Solid colours usually photograph best, and it’s worth bringing 2–3 full outfit options so you can switch depending on the shot. Avoid busy patterns or anything you know you’ll fidget with.

For b-roll and other shots around the house, bring lots of tops, even simple changes like swapping jumpers, blouses or jackets can make your clips look like they were filmed on different days. Most women bring a mix of casual and slightly more polished pieces, plus a favourite jacket or accessory to add variety.

Comfortable shoes or even slippers are absolutely fine, this isn’t a fashion shoot, it’s about helping you show up confidently and naturally.

Anything that tells your brand story — outfits, props, products, tools of your trade, packaging, your laptop, notebooks, or accessories that reflect your style. More is better; you can choose what you actually use on the day.

Yes. All refreshments are provided by Marnie from Sugar Lump Lane, known for beautiful, delicious grazing-style nibbles. It adds to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of the morning. You will get a welcome drink, nibbles throughout and we will end the day with some delicious cake. We also have a water station and teas and coffees.

If you have dietary requirements just make sure to let us know and Marnie will make something delicious just for you.

Absolutely. Most attendees feel this way.

Sarah will begin the morning with a gentle mindset reset clearing any worries, settling nerves and helping you step into a grounded, confident state before your photos. During your mini shoot Dawn knows exactly how to help you relax and Julia is on hand with direction and content ideas so you never feel awkward or stuck. You can keep things subtle or go bolder, entirely your choice.

You’ll get to choose three professionally edited brand shots and you can purchase more if you like. A lot of our past attendeed have purchased more photos because they love them so much and they're reasonably priced.

You will also have a selection of relaxed venue photos taken on your phone throughout the morning.

Yes — we’ll add you to a WhatsApp group with everyone attending. That’s where we’ll share reminders, updates, and the link to the form.

Tickets are non-refundable, but if you need to cancel we’ll do our best to fill your spot so you can receive a refund. You’re also welcome to transfer your place to someone else — just let us know in advance.
